The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state on Sunday lost no fewer than 1,000 members to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The defectors who were led by Ajadi Abdulfatai, emanated from the seven wards in Ilorin West Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Ajadi verbally expressed they left APC because their prospects were not met.
According to him, they had joined APC because they mentally conceived there would be a plethora of dividends of democracy for them
"We thought we would relish equitable play and equity, but the inversion is the case, that is why we are joining PDP," Ajadi verbalized.
He integrated that they have visually perceived that PDP has men and women who are God-fearing, earnest and poised to wipe away tears from the faces of the masses.
“So, we have brought out our members from the seven wards of Ilorin West Local Government Area for a start”.
PM News reports that the defectors were received by Alhaji Mustapha Isowo, State Vice chairman (Central) of the PDP, at Alore in Ajikobi ward, Ilorin.
The defectors surrendered their APC membership cards to Isowo and they were given PDP cards in reciprocation.
Happy over the stoutheartedness of the defectors who left APC for PDP, Isowo assured them that their dreams and aspirations would be actualised in PDP and they would be given equal treatment.
Politicians have been defecting from party to the other.
Recall that there was a mass defection of about 7,000  in Adamawa State, from the APC to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), early this month.
