Fresh report indicates that foreign troops aimed at rescuing Chibok girls, abducted more than 2 months ago by Boko Haram insurgents, have not been detected in the territory of Borno State.
Sahara heralds journalist has visited several villages and flash points in the state to find only Nigerian army doing routine operations, but no authentic presence of peregrine troops, "contrary to prospects and the hyperboles in the media after the girls were forcefully abducted".
He made the conclusion after visiting Attagara, Aganjara, Agamanchiya, Ngoshe and Angurva communities and some areas situated proximate to the neighbouring Cameroon, where some of the abducted girls are believed to have been relocated.
The correspondent verbalized with the senior military officer, who attested that "at the Cameroon side of its border with Nigeria there are indeed pockets of peregrine soldiers working with Camerounian military but there is nothing homogeneous to peregrine troops in Borno State working for the recuperation of the abducted girls".
It would be recalled that numerous countries, including USA, UK and China, reportedly sent soldiers to avail Nigerian military with the find-and-rescue operation. Moreover, US President Barack Obama has recently claimed that the American troops will not leave Nigeria until the Chibok school girls are found.
