Twenty dead as Boko Haram attack villages near Chibok


Suspected members of the Islamic militant sect, Boko Haram, have assailed three communities in Chibok Local Government Area in Borno State, killing no fewer than 10 persons.

According to the president, Kibaku Youth Association of Nigeria, Mr. Moses Zakwa, three communities were assailed by the insurgents.

“The communities that were assailed are Kwada, Kautikari and Guradina, all in Chibok LGA. As at now, over 20 persons have been substantiated dead, 10 of which I ken personally. My cousin and one of my uncles were among those killed. He had three wives and over 20 children and he was killed in arctic blood. The assailment commenced around 8am in the morning and it lasted for over four hours,” he told The PUNCH.

Zakwa further verbalized, “The gunmen additionally opened fire on worshippers in a church accommodation. People have not been slumbering at home. Some have run into the nearby bush to obnubilate because their lives are in peril.”

Another Chibok indigene, Manasseh Allen, withal substantiated the assailment in a telephone chat with our correspondent. “We need divine avail,” he verbalized, integrating that Kautikari is the second most immensely colossal town in Chibok LGA.

When contacted on the telephone, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly, representing Chibok constituency, Mr. Aimu Foni, verbally expressed, “It’s conspicuous this was a Boko Haram attack because three days ago, they threatened to assail,” he verbally expressed.
