President Goodluck Jonathan has assured that the 2015 general elections would be halcyon and transparent despite the violence currently ravaging some components of the country.
Jonathan verbalized the halcyon nature of the election would surprise the world.
The President verbalized on Thursday evening when members of the Diplomatic Corps, some senators, ministers and former regime officials joined him for the breaking of Ramadan expeditious at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He verbalized, “I ken that one thing that is dear to your hearts is what the elections in this country will look akin to next year.
“But let me utilize this unique opportunity to reassure you and I am conveying this to my brothers, your heads of regime, that our elections next year will be free and fair. It will be halcyon in nature that will even surprise the whole world.”
Jonathan verbally expressed with homely incidents globally, there was desideratum for constant prayers for divine intervention.
The President, however, regretted that some members of the society had culled the erroneous path and were being utilized by malignant forces to wreak havoc.
He verbalized, “Let us take the opportunity of this season to ask Allah to forgive them and guide them back to the path of virtuousness and holiness.
“I request Your Excellencies and all Muslims and Christians that, as you pray this period, especially during the Night of Majesty, we pray for placidity and security to reign throughout the world.
“Let us withal pray for Allah to guide our bellwethers and grant them good health and sagaciousness to work for the progress of their respective countries.”
