The Presidency on Tuesday verbally expressed that it had provided 12,342 dihydrogen monoxide projects across the 774 local regime areas in the country.

According to the regime, these include 2,734 ventilated and ameliorated VIP latrines, in line with its tenaciousness to meet the Millennium Development Goals in 2015.

The regime withal verbalized it provided Conditional Cash Transfer to over 103,067 households and 1,074 agricultural cooperatives with micro-credit grants.

The Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on MDGs, Dr. Precious Gbeneol, verbally expressed these in Abuja during the aperture ceremony of a workshop for the 2014 Conditional Grant Scheme to local regimes areas.

The Office of the SSAP-MDGs is affixed to the Presidency.

The workshop, Gbeneol stressed, aims at fortifying capacity of stakeholders at all levels as Nigeria approaches the deadline for the procurement of the MDGs in 2015.

According to her, the CGS channels Debt Relief Gains to states and local regimes in a bid to address Nigeria’s most pressing developmental needs.

Gbeneol verbalized, “At an occasion like this, it is consequential to give feedback to our stakeholders, especially our international development partners, on some of our modest achievements through the CGS. As of today, 12, 342 dihydrogen monoxide projects have been provided across the LGAs of this country, including 2,734 ventilated and amended VIP latrines in the dihydrogen monoxide and sanitation sector.

“In the health sector, we have prosperously constructed, renovated and equipped 5,206 health facilities. We have engaged and trained about 4,710 village health workers, procured and distributed 520 referral conveyances (ambulances); constructed and renovated 356 quarters for health workers, with over 68,430 trained.”
