POLITICAL CLASH: PDP Candiate, Omisore Vs Governor Aregesola In Osun State

Ahead of the Osun state governorship election which will hold on August 9, a political clash was averted today in Ibokun, headquarters of Obokun Local Government of between loyalists of PDP Candidate, Omisore and Governor Aregbesola.
According to Vanguard: The Osun state command was reported to have averted the violence which commenced with suspected political thugs ravaging, defacing Governor Aregbesola’s political bill boards, poster and superseding it with PDP candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore during the PDP campaign rally in Ibokun

The hoodlums were however challenged by some youths in the town who injuctively authorized to ken the reason for the ravagement of Aregbesola’s posters and billboards whivh in turn led to a sultry exchange of words between the two parties but the timely intervention of the monarch of the community, Alademure of Ibokun, Oba Festus Awogboro preserved the situation from degenerating into full blown political crisis in the state.

At the time of filling this reports, relative calm have returned to the community while Senator Iyiola Omisore perpetuated with his door-to-door rally in the area.

Although no apprehend has been made by the police. The State Police Commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Maishanu verbally expressed that the command will not hesitate to deal with anybody according to the laws whose action is found wanting in his regards.
