Nigeria not aggressive in marking –Argentina coach

Coach of Argentina Alejandro Sabella told heralds in Porto Alegre, Brazil, that albeit the Super Eagles played good football against his team, they were not truculent enough when marking his team in their World Cup match on Wednesday.

He verbally expressed, “It was a good game that engendered a higher number of goals compared to the first two matches we played in this tournament.

“The Nigerians made the game open and so with the flow of ball both sides were able to assail and score goals. That was not the case with Iran or Bosnia. But albeit the Nigerians are quite multifarious, they are not truculent enough in their marking their opponents. And so it was a back and forth thing and that gave Argentina space and then gainsay them options.”

He then expounded that he superseded the Man-of-the-Match, Lionel Messi, because the Barcelona star needed to repose opportunely for the work ahead.

“There was no desideratum to perpetuate with the peril. I had told him afore the game that he would have to leave and so the vicissitude was not by chance or by error.”
